Museum of Shipbuilding and Fleet. It is located in the former home of the Black Sea Fleet Commander. Twelve different rooms reveal the stages of development of shipbuilding in the northern Black Sea coast ranging from ancient times, showing the process of creating the Black Sea fleet and the development of shipbuilding and mapping pages of the history of the shipbuilders.
Every year the museum hosts more than 50 thousand visitors and holds about a thousand trips. The museum's funds account for about 8 thousand exhibits. .



Nikolayev Regional Art Museum. VV Vereshchagin was founded in 1914 as a monument to the famous Russian painter of battle-pieces. The museum's collection now numbers about ten thousand items, which represent an artistic chronicle of Ukraine and many other countries. The museum is located in one of the best buildings in the city, which is an architectural monument of the second half of XIX century. Each year the museum organizes exhibitions from its own funds, as well as exhibitions from other countries.

Regional Museum. In its vaults the most interesting material on the history of the region are stored. Findings from Olbia and the entire northern Black Sea decorate not only Nicholas, but other museums.



Nikolayev Zoo was founded in 1901 by NP Leontovich. In 1977 he moved it to a new territory that occupies the area of 23 hectares. Today the zoo has 377 collection of 2800 individuals. About 80 species are listed in the International Red Book. It is the largest collection in Ukraine. More than 50 species of are only in the St. Nicholas zoo. The zoo was the first among Ukrainian zoos in 1993 to be admitted to the European Association of Zoos and Aquariums (EAZA).

On the border of Kirovograd and Nikolayev regions near the city of Pervomaysk and the village of Pobuzhskoye, a unique museum, the Strategic Missile Forces, which is a branch of the Central Museum of Armed Forces of Ukraine is located. In the museum you can see samples of rocket engines, cars, mobile rocket platforms, tankers for rocket fuel, a mock nuclear warhead, as well as the R-12 (the same one which played a key role in the Cuban missile crisis in 1961) and RS-20V (SS-18 "Satan").

Nikolayev State Russian Drama Theatre. It is one of the oldest art groups in Ukraine, the first Russian theater, which emerged in the country in the post-October period. It was founded in 1934. The building itself was built in 1881 and is a landmark building.
